Foam Type Extinguishers

Foam Extinguishers are specifically Designed for use on Class A and B fires involving flammable and combustible liquids such as petrol, oil and some paints. They can also be used to blanket a spill to prevent ignition. Foam must not be used where live electrical current is present.

Carbon Dioxide (C02) Type Extinguishers

Carbon dioxide is a clean gas which does not leave a harmful residue, making it an ideal extinguisher for use where sensitive electronic equipment is present. C02 is non-corrosive and non-conductive and is also suitable for small fires involving flammable and combustible liquids.

Dry Powder Type Extinguishers

Charged with ABE type powder, these extinguishers are the most suitable and effective type for use on fires involving paper, textiles and most plastics, as well as flammable and combustible liquids. Water Type Extinguishers

Water extinguishers are specifically designed to be effective on Class A fires involving materials such as paper, timber, cardboard and some plastics and should be located where there are no fire hose reels installed. Because of is conductivity, water type extinguishers must not be used where live electrical current is present.

Wet Chemical Extinguishers

Wet extinguishers are expressly designed to be use in kitchen areas where there are quantities of oils and fats stored and used in cooking situations. These extinguishers are red with an oatmeal-coloured band, they use an aqueous solution which is discharged as a fine spray to the surface of Class F fires (oils and fats).

Fire Blankets
| Fire blankets work by cutting off a fire's supply of oxygen, smothering it either permanently or until another form of fire fighting equipment is available.
Fire blankets are designed for areas where small Class F fires are a risk, such as kitchens or wherever oils and fats are exposed to potential sources of ignition. Fire blankets can also be used if a person's clothing catches fire.
