Environmental Awareness is a broad philosphy and social movement regarding the concerns of and an understanding towards environmental conservation and the interaction between humans and our effects to the environment.
With this in mind Aegis Safety has designed an icon that will let you know which of our products are within the environmental awareness category.
This icon symbolises our committment to ensuring that our resposibility to the environment through our products to minimise the ecological footprint on the environment

| Some Quick Hints to help make your work place more environmentally aware |

1. COMPUTERS
|
Activate the Sleep Mode on your computer to reduce its electricity consumption, set your screen & hard drive to sleep after 10mins of inactivity. Shut Down your computer at the end of each day, this can save approx 1000 kilowatts each year on your electricity bill. |

2. PRINTING
|
When it comes to printing ask yourself 'do I really need to print this?' Alot of paper is wasted due to unneccessary printing. If you need to print set your printer to print Double Sided and Recycle Paper. |

3. AIR-CONDITIONING
|
One of the most obvious but the one that is most commonly not observed is when the air-conditioner is on make sure all external doors are shut. The will save alot on your power bill each quarter. |

4. CARPARKS
|
Installing the correct Carpark Monitoring system can save you thousands of dollars each year on your electricity bill. The right monitoring system in combination with the right sensors will detect when your exhaust fans should be running and that they are used only when needed. |
